I think the last HB weekend was October 17-19.

Even if the double HB weekend last time did coincide with the monthly and it was the monthly were everyone lagged to shit, I really doubt that the two are connected.
I mean if we actually think about it, why on earth would a double HB weekend make the servers lag so much? I mean not a great deal of people actually care about the double HB weekend compared to a double PvE weekend or even double fame.
Just sounds like a coincidence to me.

ANet haven't learned, have they. Last time there was a HB weekend on the mAT weekend, many people were lagging and disconnecting. This mAT is going to be a joke.

Are you guys serious? When was the HB weekend ever proved to be directly to blame for the lag that happened in the MaT?

Probably because whenever there's a weekend event that lots of people attend to, the whole game gets extremely laggy for many. Maybe that's just a coincidence? Doubt it, though.

It's the Double HB weekend, Double H-e-r-o B-a-t-t-l-es. No one cares about HB, a lot more people attend the PvE weekends and the other 3 PvP weekends. Now, people don't normally complain about lag on those weekends, well not that many. So what you're saying is one of the LEAST attended bonus weekends is causing an epic amount of lag?
Doesn't make much sense to me.

Quite a lot of people do hero battles on the double reward weekend. You'd know that if you bothered to check out the districts rather than making stuff up. With the amount of people that roll, it's a free title. Lots of players like getting titles. So you have most people who already hero battle, and lots of people looking for a free title. Every hero battle weekend has caused lag, like most other double weekend events.
If you feel like explaining why there is lag on every hero battle weekend, go ahead.

While more people do PvE weekends then PvP ones (ie, 4-6 districts in HB is "a lot," but nothing compared to the ~80 you'd see in LA/Kamadon during event finales) it is undeniable that MATs that occur during double weekends have had massive lag spikes and disconnects.

I have taken in part in the Double HB Weekends before, however I still believe COMPARED to other events it is not nearly as popular. So it does not make sense to me that one of the least attended events would cause the biggest lag spike.
We will see.

6 Districts in Hero Battles, probably about 25 if they all stopped actually participating. That might mean something when you have 20 districts (or 4-5 regularily), multiply that by about 80 people per district (No way one of them's going to be full with 100), each loading every texture on 2 maps plus 80 people's armor about every minute or so. Now that's about 1500+ people loading over 500 textures each.
That might have something to do with it, rather than when there's 100+ districts in Kamadan, as no one is frequently zoning/reloading everything?
